About

For Minecraft players looking to enhance their gaming experience, the Akashic Tome mod is a must-have addition. Developed by Vazkii, this mod is designed to complement the Morph-o-Tool mod seamlessly. The Akashic Tome introduces a single new item to the game, the Akashic Tome itself, which can be crafted using a Book and a Bookshelf.

In essence, the Akashic Tome serves as a convenient solution for organizing documentation books from various mods within large modpacks. Instead of cluttering your inventory with multiple books, you can now consolidate them all into a single slot, allowing for easy access and swapping as needed.

Furthermore, the Akashic Tome has the ability to store documentation books from other mods for later reference. By simply combining the Tome with a desired book in the crafting table, players can amass a collection of books within the Tome, with the flexibility to include duplicates.

One notable feature of the Akashic Tome is its direct integration with the actual items from other mods, ensuring full compatibility with their functionality. This seamless interaction is achieved by appending NBT data to the item, allowing the game to recognize and utilize it effectively.

Players can transform the Tome into a specific mod’s documentation book by right-clicking and selecting the book from a convenient menu. Additionally, sneak-right clicking on a modded block will transform the Tome into the corresponding documentation book, granting quick access to information.

To revert the transformed book back into the Akashic Tome, a simple punch in the air will suffice. And should you wish to remove stored books, transforming the Tome into the book to be removed and then sneaking while pressing the “drop” key will do the trick.

Configuration

The configuration options for the Akashic Tome mod provide players with additional customization features:

  • An option to allow attachment of every single item, disabled by default.
  • A blacklist for specific mods that should not have items attached.
  • A whitelist for item names that can be attached, like “book,” “tome,” or “lexicon.”
  • A whitelist for specific items that do not fall under the aforementioned names but can still be attached.
  • An alias list, enabling the redirection of one mod to another. This feature is particularly useful for maintaining consistency and compatibility between related mods, such as aliasing RFTools Dimensions to RFTools or Thermal Dynamics to Thermal Expansion.

With its user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other mods, the Akashic Tome mod offers Minecraft players a convenient and efficient way to manage documentation within modpacks. Download this essential mod today and level up your gameplay experience!
