Minecraft Mod: Antique AtlasHunternif
The Antique Atlas is a unique craftable item that introduces a special map screen feature for players in the Minecraft world. With this mod, users can easily navigate the map using click & drag functions and zoom in and out using their scroll wheel. Additionally, on-screen buttons allow for seamless addition, removal, and hiding of markers, as well as the option to export the map as an image file.
It is important for both the server and client to have the Antique Atlas mod installed to access its functionalities. This mod can be freely included in mod packs as long as it is not being monetized.
One notable feature is the way the map is generated around the player, with each 16×16 block chunk represented by a single biome. Custom biomes from other mods are automatically assigned default textures, but users have the flexibility to add their own texture packs with custom textures. The Atlas can also be exported as a PNG image file that reflects the player’s current location and dimension.
Modders can take advantage of the flexible Atlas API to develop new features. Crafting an Atlas requires a specific recipe and right-clicking on an empty Atlas creates a usable instance. Cloning an Atlas allows for multiple instances with shared map content, offering convenience during travels.
There is also a crafting option for combining different Atlases to merge their contents into a new one. The user interface is intuitive, with navigation through the Atlas by right-clicking while holding it to open the map.
