Minecraft Mod: AppleSkin by squeek502

AppleSkin is a standalone mod that offers HUD features previously found in AppleCore, though it does not require AppleCore to function. Primarily a client-side mod, it is essential to have AppleSkin installed on the server for accurate saturation and exhaustion values to be displayed on the client side.

Note that AppleSkin provides visibility into certain mechanics that are typically hidden by default in Minecraft without altering or adding any mechanics. For detailed insight into Minecraft’s exhaustion and saturation mechanics, refer to the Hunger article on the Minecraft wiki.

Key Features:

  • Food value information added to tooltips
  • Visualization of saturation and exhaustion on the HUD
  • Potential hunger/saturation restored visualized while holding food
  • Potential health restored visualized while holding food
  • Hunger/saturation/exhaustion info on the debug overlay (F3)
  • Client-server synchronization of saturation and exhaustion values

Miscellaneous:

Users are encouraged to incorporate this mod into any desired modpack.

Usage on Vanilla Servers:

To enable saturation/exhaustion functionality when connecting to vanilla Minecraft servers, consider using the following plugins:

  • AppleSkinSpigot by jmattingley23 (https://github.com/jmattingley23/AppleSkinSpigot)
  • PaperApple Bukkit plugin (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/bukkit-plugins/paperapple)
