The Bobby mod for Minecraft offers a unique feature that extends render distances beyond the server’s default view-distance setting. By saving all chunks sent by the server in the .minecraft/.bobby directory, Bobby can reload and display these chunks when they are no longer within the server’s view-distance range.
Furthermore, Bobby can leverage an existing single player world to load chunks that have never been sent by the server before. Users can activate this functionality by renaming the world folder to “bobby-fallback” (remember, it’s the folder name, not the name of the world!).
