Equipment Compare is a convenient client-side mod designed for Minecraft players who want to compare equipment effortlessly with just a glance. This mod, tailored for the Forge version, simplifies the process of comparing various items, which is particularly valuable in a modded environment featuring a myriad of unique gear to analyze.
Distinct from typical tooltip comparison mods, Equipment Compare showcases a tooltip for the item you are currently wearing alongside the one you are examining. This unique approach ensures broader support for additional stats and functionalities introduced by other mods.
To utilize versions other than 1.12.2, it is necessary to have Iceberg installed as a prerequisite, which can be acquired here.

This mod functions exclusively on the client-side.
Configuration
Default settings enable comparison tooltips by holding the shift key while hovering over an item. This keybind can be customized in the inventory section of the controls menu. The mod’s configuration file offers options to reverse this behavior, customize colors and text for the “equipped” badge above tooltips, and blacklist specific item IDs to disable comparisons selectively.
