Falling Leaves (Forge)Cheaterpaul

Minecraft Mod: Falling Leaves (Forge) by Cheaterpaul

This Forge mod for Minecraft 1.16+ introduces a captivating particle effect to leaf blocks. Players have the ability to customize which types of leaf blocks will shed leaves and the frequency at which these leaves are shed. It is essential to note that this mod is solely meant for Client side use.

Users can tailor the following settings in the fallingleaves-client.toml file located in the config directory:

  • leafSize: adjusts the size of the leaves
  • leafLifespan: modifies the duration before the leaves disappear
  • leafSpawnRate: alters the quantity of spawning leaves
  • coniferLeafSpawnRate: adjusts the amount of leaves spawned from conifer trees
  • dropFromPlayerPlacedBlocks: determines if leaves should also drop from player-placed blocks
  • minimumFreeSpaceBelow: specifies the space required below the leaf block for leaves to spawn
  • disableWind: deactivates wind effects for the leaf particle
  • windlessDimension: lists dimensions where wind effects should be disabled
  • seasonFallRate: incorporates a modifier for season-specific leaf fall rates

Datapack Information:

Starting from version 2.0.0, creating a datapack is required to define leaves as conifer. Follow the embedded values pattern in data/modid/fallingleaves/blockname.json with the given syntax and default values:

{
  “spawnrate”: 1.0,
  “isConifer”: false
}
