Minecraft mod Forge CITtfarecnim

Forge CIT is an unofficial fork of CITResewn specifically designed to work seamlessly with Forge Mod Loader. This mod essentially brings back the beloved Custom Item Textures (CIT) feature from MCPatcher, but in a standalone form compatible with Forge.

Unlike before, Forge CIT eliminates the need for MCPatcher or Optifine, offering resourcepacks the ability to alter item appearances based on specified conditions. This mod not only replicates the functionalities of MCPatcher but also enhances CITs by introducing new types and conditions.

If you are wondering about the key differences between Forge CIT and MCPatcher/Optifine’s CIT, here they are:

  • The removal of the numeric id system post-Flattening.
  • A fix for resourcepacks with incorrectly formatted paths.
  • A load process from .properties files located at assets/minecraft/citresewn/cit, assets/minecraft/optifine/cit, and assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/cit.

While Forge CIT is primarily crafted to operate as a standalone mod without the need for performance mods like Optifine or Rubidium, efforts have been made to offer compatibility with Rubidium, though this cannot be guaranteed. No support for Optifine is provided.
