This mod challenges the fundamental principles of armor utility, as armor no longer conforms to the law of diminishing marginal returns. The armor’s efficacy now diminishes with each additional point, and the complexity of armor toughness has been simplified. Leather offers about 40% protection, iron grants 60%, and diamond bestows 66%. Protection enchantments are capped at 66%, reducing full protection diamond’s impact to 89% rather than 96%. Instead of toughness directly affecting armor damage reduction, additional calculations adjust damage over 40 points based on armor toughness values.

Furthermore, armor degradation alters the attributes based on durability, with more damaged pieces providing decreased protection. The mod allows for customized configurations through EvalEx parsing, enabling the creation of specific formulas utilizing variables such as armor, toughness, damage, and enchantments. For instance, degradation can be disabled by setting the formula to “1” or enhancing damage by multiplying it with armor.

Players can download the appropriate version of the mod for compatibility with or without Apotheosis through Forge. The mod enhances gameplay mechanics and offers a unique perspective on armor dynamics within Minecraft.
