This Minecraft Mod, FPS Reducerbre2el, effectively reduces unnecessary GPU and CPU load by automatically lowering the frame rate when the client window is inactive or when there is no user activity for a certain period. This can help conserve power, extend the lifespan of your PC, and reduce heat generation, among other benefits.
Features:
- Automatically reduces FPS when the game window is inactive or minimized
- Lowers FPS after a specified period of user inactivity
- Suppresses sound volume when the game window is inactive
- Displays current FPS on the screen edge
- Shows CPU usage of the client thread (available from version 1.14 onwards)
Recommended Usage:
- Leaving the game running without operation, such as automated agriculture or industry
- Running Minecraft in the background while doing other tasks

Usage Tips:
- Default FPS drops to 10 when the game window is inactive or minimized
- Optionally, FPS is reduced after a specified period of inactivity
- Pressing [PAUSE] key manually reduces FPS (new feature in v1.16)
- Pressing [END] key opens the configuration GUI by default
