Minecraft Mod: FullStack Watchdogtelepathicgrunt
This mod is a server-sided modification for Minecraft that enhances the logging system to provide additional information when the Watchdog system on the server terminates due to a deadlock or excessive processing time.
When the server experiences a deadlock, the crash report log will now display the entire code that was executing at the time of the deadlock, showing the full stacktrace of all threads instead of a truncated version.
The main purpose of this mod is to assist in identifying the specific modded code or mixin that may have caused a thread to become unresponsive. By revealing the thread causing the deadlock, server administrators can better diagnose and address the issue, potentially preventing future lockups.
It is important to note that while this mod can be included in modpacks, it primarily affects server-side operations. Clients can have the mod installed, but it will not impact client-side gameplay as the Watchdog system operates exclusively on servers. Servers can run with this mod independently, allowing clients without the mod to still connect without issue.
**IMPORTANT NOTE:** Users of NeoForge version 20.4.107 and newer already have this mod integrated into the platform. Therefore, if you are using NeoForge for Minecraft 1.20.4 or a later version, the standalone FullStack Watchdogtelepathicgrunt mod is not required.
