Description:
Global PacksJTK222 is a versatile Minecraft mod designed for modpack creators in version 1.13 and above. Typically, datapacks need to be manually added to each world individually, but with this mod, that process is streamlined. It introduces the ability to set global Data- & Resourcepacks, giving users the option to designate them as required or optional. This feature is available in newer versions of the mod.
Note:
Datapacks stored within the resourcepacks folder are automatically enabled by default, but users can adjust this setting in the configuration file. This mod facilitates the installation of datapacks in a similar manner to mods using the Curseforge launcher.
Usage:
– For Minecraft version 1.13, users can create a folder named ‘global_data_pack’ and place their .zip datapacks inside. These packs will be required and enforced for users.
– From Minecraft versions 1.14 to 1.15, a folder named ‘global_data_packs’ can be created to house required datapacks.
– For Minecraft version 1.16 and above (Mod version 1.10+), a new config file ‘global_data_and_resourcepacks.toml’ is introduced. Users can list folders containing their data-/resourcepacks. Alternatively, packs can be specified directly to determine their priority order. The default configuration includes several examples for reference.
