Immersive Petroleum is a lightweight content add-on for Immersive Engineering that brings oil, oil extraction, and oil processing to the mod’s tech progression. With a wide range of configuration options, it seamlessly integrates into any modpack featuring Immersive Engineering.
To start your oil adventure, players must first locate an oil deposit deep underground, using the Core Sample Drill to detect the reservoirs. Pumpjacks can then be constructed to bring Crude Oil to the surface.
Through the Distillation Tower multiblock, Crude Oil is heated and separated into various products such as Diesel, Gasoline, Lubricant, and Bitumen. Diesel provides a longer-burning fuel alternative, while Gasoline powers Motorboats and Portable Generators. Lubricant speeds up machines, and Bitumen is a vital material for making Asphalt paving.
The initial version of Immersive Petroleum includes essential components like Pumpjacks, Distillation Towers, Portable Generators, Lubricant Cans, and Motorboats. Stay tuned for future updates introducing new multiblock machines, such as Oil Derricks and Cokers for refining Bitumen into Diesel and Petcoke.
