Minecraft Mod: Max Health FixDarkhaxDev

This Minecraft mod addresses an old bug within the game that disregards the “Max Health” attribute when a player joins a world. The bug causes players with a health value exceeding the default limit of 20 to be reset back to 20 upon rejoining the game. For instance, if a player wears a helmet granting them +10 max health and logs out with 25 health, their health will reset to 20 upon logging back in.

The Max Health FixDarkhaxDev mod can be installed on both the client and server. On the client-side, the bug is rectified for single-player worlds. When installed on the server, all players—including those without the mod on their clients—will have the bug fixed.

To test this bug:

  1. Create a new world with cheats enabled and creative mode disabled.
  2. Use the /give command to give yourself a helmet with +10 max health.
  3. Equip the helmet to increase your max health from 20 to 30 (15 hearts).
  4. Increase your health beyond 20.
  5. Save and exit the game.
  6. Rejoin to see your health reset to 20, unless the mod is installed.
