Minecraft Mod: More Overlays UpdatedRiDGo8
This mod, More Overlays UpdatedRiDGo8, brings back some of the overlays from NEI and is compatible with Minecraft versions 1.15.2, 1.16.1 – 1.16.5, 1.17.1, 1.18, 1.19, and 1.20. It is designed for Client-Side use only and is currently only available for Forge.
If you are playing on Minecraft version 1.14 or below, you can check out the original mod by FeldiM245 for similar features.
Key Features:
- Light Overlay / Mob Spawns: Press F7 to enable the Light Level and Mob Spawns overlay. It displays a yellow X on blocks where monsters can spawn at night and a red X where monsters can always spawn.
- Chunk Boundaries: Press F9 to enable the Chunk Boundaries overlay with three modes: red lines in corners and yellow line in the middle, green grid on chunk edges, and outlining Minecraft regions.
- Inventory Item Search: Double-click on the JEI Search Field for Item Search (requires JEI). Search for items and highlight items that match the filter in the currently open inventory.
You can configure the mod from the Main Screen under Mods – MoreOverlays – Config or by editing config/moreoverlays.toml.
This mod integrates with other mods such as JustEnoughItems for Item Search and highlights items using JEI’s search algorithm.
For distribution in modpacks, credits are appreciated. Reuploading the mod file for free download is allowed; however, commercial use is against the Minecraft EULA. Keep files updated and be honest about version compatibility.
