Second Chance is an exciting mod for Minecraft, originally a port of zoeytheegoist’s Fabric mod of the same name. Inspired by the Kingdom Hearts ability, this mod changes the game dynamics in an innovative way.
If you have 7 or more hearts of health, damage that would have been fatal in one hit will now leave you with half a heart remaining. This feature allows you a chance to react in situations that would have been deadly. A distinct sound cue will notify you when this ability saves you.
For fairness, this mechanic won’t activate for fall damage, crushing damage, or void damage. It’s a hidden accessibility feature that levels the playing field for all players. No more sudden Creeper explosions catching you off guard!
Introducing a new feature, Coyote Time! Inspired by Celeste, Coyote Time lets you jump mid-air right after falling off a ledge. This gives you the opportunity to correct mistakes if you accidentally slip off.
Config Options:
- Enable or disable the Second Chance mechanic
- Enable or disable the Coyote Time mechanic
- Adjust the duration for mid-air jumps after falling off
- Set the health remaining when Second Chance triggers
- Specify the required hearts for Second Chance to activate
- Toggle the sound cue for activation
