Minecraft Mod: The Hordessmileycorp

For those avid Minecraft players looking for a new and exhilarating challenge, The Hordessmileycorp mod is a must-download addition to your gameplay experience. This mod, designed for Forge and requiring Atlas Lib, offers a unique twist to the typical Minecraft survival mode.

One key feature of this mod is the exciting Invasions aspect, where players will hear the howls of approaching hordes as they attack your base in waves during configurable nights. You’ll need to fend off various monsters from midnight until morning, with the option to customize the types of mobs encountered and the times of day they appear.

Additionally, The Hordessmileycorp introduces an intriguing Infection mechanic. Once enabled, players and horses can become infected after being struck by a zombie, transforming into one themselves after 5 minutes or upon death. In the case of players, this infection results in their demise, spawning a zombie player in their place. The default cure for this infection is a golden apple, but players can adjust the settings to use any consumable item for treatment, albeit irreversible.

Furthermore, this mod offers optional settings that extend the infection mechanic to villagers, preventing the curing of zombie villagers. Players can also choose to include zombie variants from other mods, broadening the range of entities that can undergo zombification.

Version 1.3.0 and beyond provide support for custom textures, enabling the creation of zombified versions of similar mobs for added variety and challenge in the game.

Another intriguing feature of The Hordessmileycorp is the concept of Zombie Players. When a player succumbs to infection or meets their demise under certain settings, a zombified version of that player spawns in their place, retaining all their items. By default, zombie players are immune to sunlight, though this can be adjusted in the configuration settings.

In addition to the main features, this mod includes miscellaneous tweaks such as turning zombie horses into hostile mobs, preventing undead creatures from burning in the sunlight, and more.

Special thanks to bstylia14 for the original mod concept and Ski_Z for their contributions during the development process and bug finding. Their insights and ideas have significantly enhanced the gameplay experience.
