Overview:
Translocators is a mod for Minecraft that enables the transfer of items and liquids between nearby inventories with a high level of control, all designed to integrate seamlessly into the gameplay experience. The mod was created within a short span of 36 hours during the ModJam modding contest and managed to secure the top prize.
Features:
Translocators come in both item and liquid forms and can be placed on the side of inventories or tanks. They facilitate the transfer of items and liquids within a single block space. When the center piece is protruding, items/liquids will flow from this side to the sides with the center inset. They will always move towards non-redstone outputs when available and will be evenly split between outputs, with items being taken from the slot with the largest quantity.
Right-clicking on the plate of the item translocator allows for a configurable filter configuration. Glowstone can be added to make it transfer stacks at a time, while redstone enables toggling of input/output using a redstone signal. Diamond nuggets put the translocator in regulate mode, maintaining a certain amount of items set in the filter in the attached inventory.
An inserting face accepts items to fill the inventory matching the filter, and an ejecting face will eject any items that do not match the filter. Adding an iron ingot allows the translocator to emit redstone signals to the attached inventory under specific conditions.
Crafting Grid:
The crafting grid is activated by pressing ‘C’ while looking at a solid top surface. It remains visible for a limited time after its last use and allows for the addition and removal of items by right-clicking. Crafting items is initiated by pressing ‘C’ again on the grid.
